WHERE WAS IT? We were married at our parish church, St.Michaels in Oulton Broad and our reception was held in the barn at Fritton House Hotel.

THE THEME/STYLE: Our theme was a modern traditional style with Cadbury’s purple, sparkles and hearts.

BRIDE’S DRESS: I found my dress really quickly at Dreams Bridalwear and it was one of the first dresses I tried on and I didn’t want to take it off!

BRIDE’S SHOES: I chose shoes from Debenhams, they had a sparkle detail and most importantly were not too high as I am used to wearing flats!

JEWELLERY/ACCESSORIES: I wore a freshwater pearl bracelet with a sparkly heart detail which was made especially for me by my bridesmaids sister and my necklace and earrings I borrowed from my mum as my something borrowed.

HAIR AND MAKEUP: My hair and make-up was by Judith and Ella from Belles Beauties at Fritton House Hotel.

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES: I wanted Cadbury purple dresses and found a perfect style online at the flower girl dresses were from bhs.

WEDDING RINGS (SUPPLIER DETAILS ONLY): We found our rings in Tombland Jewellers Norwich. 

GROOM/GROOMSMEN’S ATTIRE/COLOURS: We hired the suits from Coes of Lowestoft. Our eldest son Oliver chose to have the handkerchiefs to match the cravats.

FLOWERS: I chose Abi from Irene’s House of Flowers to do my flowers. The flowers were my biggest worry for the day. I gave Abi lots of ideas and a few photos of similar arrangements but didn’t truly know what they would look like on the day. When they arrived at the hotel I shed my first tear, they were absolutely perfect, exactly what I had imagined!

RECEPTION DÉCOR DETAILS: With the help of my mum and best friend Becky we decorated the room ourselves using decor from  www.confetti.co.uk and www.theweddingparty.co.uk

WEDDING PLANNER: Fritton House have their own wedding planner Cheryl who was a great help but we also hired toastmaster Bob Lloyd to organise everyone on the day. He did an amazing job in keeping things on time.

CAKE: Our cake was made by Ed’s very talented mum. She did an amazing job with the sugar paste flowers, lots of people thought they were real flowers, and the cake was delicious too!

STATIONARY: My mum made all of our invitations and order of service. They were perfect and they were unique to us incorporating the purple, sparkles and hearts of our theme.

WEDDING FAVOURS: As I love chocolate I chose to have 5 Cadbury’s dairy milk miniature's in a bonbonniere tied with purple ribbon, my two bridesmaids helped me to make these one giggly girly night!!

HONEYMOON: We booked a week away at Sandals Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, where we enjoyed a week of sun, sand and champagne with the added luxury of having our own butler!! This was recommended and arranged by Donna an independent personal travel organiser from www.travelcounsellors.co.uk/donna.bidwell

WEDDING SONGS/FIRST DANCE: Being a musician myself music was very important to me on the day. I walked down the aisle to Pachelbel Canon in D, and we left church to Chasing Cars by snow patrol. During the service we signed the register to Turning Page by Sleeping at Last which was arranged by our fantastic string quartet who we found through Xenia Horne of www.musicmakersuk.com they played beautifully throughout our service and drinks reception. Our first dance was to Thousand Years by Christina Perri, feat Steve Kazee, This began as a normal sway and we then surprised everyone by breaking into a waltz.

SOURCES OF INSPIRATION: My sister had bought me a subscription to Perfect Wedding magazine, which gave me lots of ideas for our day and also searching the internet and certain blogs.

A MEMORABLE MOMENT: I think our most memorable moment is when our youngest son Max jumped in a muddy puddle like peppa pig, in his full hire suit!!!!!
