This is the latest in a run of pre-wedding shoots that have a distinctly wilderness feel to them. I'm not a city slicker and although I do genuinely love urban shoots I'm always drawn back to the forests, beaches and heathland of my home area. How lucky to have such a wealth of locations on my doorstep, it never gets taken for granted. There are many norfolk and suffolk wedding venues that have extensive parkland but so little gets used on a wedding day, usually due to time and/or weather limitations. On an engagement photography shoot we have the luxury of more time to wander and exploit locations so can end up a long way from where we started. I met up with Emma and Gareth at Felbrigg woods for their session a few weeks ago. We were lucky to pick a beautiful day and ended up deep amongst the ancient beeches and imposing pines that make up this historic parkland forest. The guys were straight into it, no hesitations and certainly gave me more than enough moments to make some lovely intimate pictures in practice ahead of their wedding day later this June.
