A long time ago, before I'd considered the crazy possibility of making a living by taking pictures, I worked as a surf and snow sports technician. During this period I was lucky enough to cross paths with a lot of remarkable people. One of these was a man named Malcolm Campbell. Through the company's surfing consultant Guy Penwarden (a dear acquaintance to this day) I became great friends with Malcolm and despite living several thousands of miles apart continue to share a wonderful friendship that has lead to many special, life-affirming experiences. When I got the call from Malcolm earlier this year to ask if I'd be interested in photographing his daughter Oriana's wedding there was only ever going to be one answer.
There aren't enough ways I can describe what a privilege it was to be a part of this day, it would be churlish to try. I will just leave it here by expressing my sincere gratitude to Oriana, Brian, the Campbell and Horneck clans and all their friends and family who went above and beyond to make me feel so welcome. Thank you, it was a pleasure and an honour.
