A little bit about your photographer in pictures, naturally!
Simon has been providing award-winning wedding and portrait photography across the UK and Europe for over 12 years. Being based in the beautiful countryside south of Norwich on the Norfolk / Suffolk border there are many wonderful wedding venues on his doorstep with whom he works closely. Not confined to East Anglia, wedding commissions have taken him all over the British Isles as well as destination weddings in France, Norway, Italy, Ireland and the USA. His images have been featured in many publications including Brides, Wedding Ideas, Archant Bride, Norfolk & Suffolk Weddings, US Rangefinder, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Independent and The Observer newspapers and numerous wedding blogs. Simon is also a listed photographer in Vogue Italia's PhotoVogue, a qualified BIPP and WPPI member and the only photographer to be featured twice in The Times Newspaper's 'Engagements' section.
"A little bit about what I do..."
I want you to love your pictures as much in the years to come as the first moment you see them. In commissioning me to photograph your wedding you will employ somebody, driven by their craft, to deliver a beautiful, timeless custom wedding collection.
From our first contact through to delivery of your photographs and album I aim to make it a simple, fun and lovely experience. There is so much to consider when planning your wedding and I want the photography to be the thing you worry least about. I'm often told that I become much more than just "the photographer" and often remain in contact with many couples long after the day itself - perhaps the best endorsement I can offer.
Personal interaction and sensitive direction on the day is necessary but kept to a minimum as all my past couples will attest. My mantra is: "It's a wedding NOT a photoshoot" meaning that you and your guest's enjoyment of the day is my priority. Discretion is assured and non-disclosure will be respected if required. If you desire I will produce a unique piece of art in the form of a heritage storybook album. These are heirloom items to be cherished not only by you but your children and grandchildren.
Whilst remaining relevant I'm conscious of avoiding dateable compositional and processing trends in my wedding imagery. I find much inspiration in the fashion editorial, music and outdoor lifestyle features found within the pages of, amongst others, Vogue, Harpers, Vanity Fair, GQ and Rolling Stone. The photographers whose work features in these magazines is world-class and a huge influence on how I approach my own picture making.
